Overview
The Audi B9 RS5 has one of the best engines in its class — a 444-horsepower 2.9L twin-turbo V6 — but one of the most restrictive factory exhaust systems holding it back. Heavy OEM components and a sound-deadening muffler design leave the car considerably quieter than its output suggests, with much of the engine note heard inside the cabin generated electronically rather than produced at the tailpipe.
The NightRunners Performance Valved Catback replaces the factory exhaust from the downpipes back with a complete, single-package system. Built entirely from T304 stainless steel and fully mandrel-bent, it improves exhaust flow across the rev range while restoring the engine's true sound. Electronically actuated valves allow the driver to switch between an aggressive, high-volume tone and quiet, OEM-like operation on demand.
With the valves open, the RS5 produces a deep, aggressive exhaust note with pronounced crackle on deceleration. With the valves closed, volume returns to near-factory levels, keeping the car comfortable for daily driving and long-distance travel.
