The NRP S58 3.5" Hydroformed Race Downpipes replace the factory downpipes on the G80 M3, G82/G83 M4 and G87 M2. The stock pipes are 2.75" and carry the catalytic converters right behind the turbos, which makes them the biggest restriction in the exhaust. Ours are a full 3.5" from the turbo flange back — 36% more flow area than a 3" downpipe and 62% more than stock — hydroformed from a single piece of 304 stainless with no welded bends. Less backpressure means the turbos spool faster and make more power: up to 27 hp and 33 tq at the wheels when tuned, more on upgraded turbos. The car sounds a lot better too — deeper, louder, with turbo spool you can hear.
Features:
- Full 3.5" from the turbo flange to the last couple of inches, then steps to the 2.75" outlet flange — 36% more flow area than a 3" downpipe, 62% more than stock
- Catless — no cats, less backpressure, faster spool
- Hydroformed 304 stainless — one-piece bends, welds only at the flange, flex section and outlet
- CAD/CAM cast stainless V-band at the turbo, 2-bolt flange at the outlet — bolts to the OEM midpipe or any aftermarket midpipe built for the stock downpipes
- Stainless flex section to isolate the turbos from vibration and stress
- Works with the factory heat shields and O2 sensor locations
- Fits LHD and RHD with no modification
- Up to 27 HP and 33 TQ to the wheels when tuned — more with upgraded turbos
- NRP Lifetime Warranty
Options:
- Brushed Stainless — bare 304 stainless
- Heat Shielded — reflective heat shield fitted over the downpipe to cut radiated heat in the engine bay
Fitment:
- 2021+ G80 BMW M3 (including Competition, xDrive and CS)
- 2021+ G82/G83 BMW M4 (including Competition, xDrive, CS and CSL)
- 2023+ G87 BMW M2 (including CS)
- 2023+ G81 BMW M3 Touring (non-US)
Does not fit the F97 X3M / F98 X4M.
A tune is required — catless downpipes will trigger a check engine light on a stock DME, and the quoted gains assume one.
Professional installation recommended. For off-road and competition use only.
